The division of Community Health
Development provides health education and health promotion for
Fairfield County and the surrounding region.
We have multiple programs - mostly grant-funded - that address
county health and wellness needs. These programs are based on
needs identified in the
Fairfield County Community Health Needs Assessment,
completed in November, 2010. We work
with
public and private agencies, as well as the faith-based
community and private citizens. If you would like to become
involved in any of the
coalitions we work with, please contact the health educator
listed with the program. They will be happy to provide
information for you!
PhotoVoice Project Winners
West Elementary students (L-R)

Ohio Department of Transportation for display at the 2011
Ohio Active Transportation Conference. Pictured with the
students is Kelly Metcalf, Safe Kids and Injury Prevention
Coordinator at the Fairfield Department of Health. Metcalf
coordinated the photojournalism project entitled PhotoVoice
at both West and South Elementary Schools.
