Under the Public Health
Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Grant, the Fairfield County Health
Department is required to notify the public on emergency
planning activities.
The Fairfield County Health
Department Emergency Response Plan and its annexes describe
health department
activities in response to
natural and manmade disasters, terrorist incidents, and
infectious diseases.
All
emergency response plans are reviewed, exercised and updated in
such a manner that they are consistent with local, regional,
state and federal regulations, standards and policies and comply
with the National Response Plan (NRP), National Incident
Management System (NIMS) and National Infrastructure Protection
Plan (NIPP) contributing to the National Preparedness Goal.
