Fairfield County, Ohio - Board of Health

The Board of Health meetings are held the second Thursday of each month beginning at 3:00 p.m. The meetings are held at the Clarence Miller Building, 1587 Granville Pike, Lancaster, Ohio, First Floor Conference Room. The public is welcome to attend. To be placed on the meeting agenda, the public can contact Kathie Whitlock, Administrative Assistant at 652-2800.

2011 Board of Health Members

	Tina Childers was originally appointed to the Board of Health in March of 2008. She is a local Realtor for Gorsuch Realty Co. and is also employed part-time with the Fairfield County Community Action/Head Start. Term expires end of 2012.
	Charley Engen has been appointed as the Licensing Council representative to the Board of Health. Mr. Engen is the owner of CT Land Management which is involved in the design and installation of onsite wastewater treatment systems and residential excavating. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in landscape horticulture from The Ohio State University, and served for a year on the Licensing Council before his appointment to the Board of Health. Term expires end of 2014.
	James L Massey, P.E., was appointed to the Board of Health in March 2003. He is retired after 36 years of engineering service for SIECO, Inc. where he was involved in the design and construction of sanitary facilities and public water supplies as well as many other phases of professional engineering. Term expires end of 2011.
	Darryl Koop, MD, MPH of Bloom Township was appointed as the physician member representative to the Board of Health in March, 2009. Dr. Koop has his medical doctor degree (MD) from the University of Manitoba, and his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from The Ohio State University. In addition to serving as an emergency room physician Dr. Koop spends considerable time overseas practicing clinical and community medicine, and performing needs assessments in places ranging from Ecuador to Kenya. Term expires end of 2015.
	David Petty was appointed as a county representative to the Board of Health in March 2010. He is retired from Bank One/Chase in data processing. He also served as Bloom Township Clerk for ten years and Bloom Township Trustee for eight years. He is an active volunteer in our community and, among other positions, volunteers with the Fairfield County Emergency Management Agency as a community volunteer. Term expires end of 2013.
